You can create a folder to view your own 360 photos you’ve taken on your phone or ones you’ve transferred from your computer in Oculus 360 Photos on your Samsung Gear VR.

Oculus Events are social gatherings hosted by developers that let you play, watch and interact with other people while using your Samsung Gear VR. Right now, only developers can create and host events.
You can find upcoming events you're interested in by using your Gear VR or the Oculus app on your Samsung Android phone. When you tell us you're interested in an event, we'll help you remember to attend it by sending a push notification reminder to your phone and Gear VR. You'll receive a push notification the morning of the event and another one before it starts.

Once an event has started, you can join it while using your Gear VR. Keep in mind you may have to download the app of the developer hosting the event before you can join.

When you join an event, we ask that you follow the Oculus Code of Conduct when interacting with other people.
When you tell us you're interested in an event, people may see the events you're planning to attend depending on your privacy settings. If you don't want people to see the events you're attending, you can control who can see your info and activity when using your Gear VR.

You can change the Oculus Home environment after you put on your Samsung Gear VR headset.
To change your Oculus Home environment:
Before you livestream to Facebook on your Samsung Gear VR, you'll need to connect your Facebook account to your Oculus account.
To livestream to Facebook on your Gear VR:
Once you end your livestream, it'll be posted to your Facebook Timeline.
Note: You may not be able to livestream certain games and apps due to licensing agreements.
If you own a Google Chromecast, you can stream content to it using your Samsung Gear VR. Before you start streaming your Gear VR content, check to make sure your Chromecast and your Samsung Android phone are on the same Wi-Fi network.

When you're done streaming your content, go back to the Oculus app and tap again to turn off streaming.

You can create a party using your Samsung Gear VR to chat or play games online with up to 3 of your friends. You can also invite your party to hang out in a room together. In order to join a party, you’ll need to allow Oculus access to your phone’s microphone. Once you join a party, we recommend that you wear headphones so that everyone can hear you well.

Keep in mind that anyone who joins your party can also invite their friends until you reach a party of 4 people.
To mute or unmute your mic:
If you join a party and then disconnect your phone from your headset, your mic will also be muted.
