To set up your Oculus Rift, you need to download the Oculus app on your PC computer and create an Oculus account. Before you install the Oculus app, check to make sure that your system drive has at least 4GB of free disk space and is formatted to use the NTFS file system.

To download and install the Oculus app on your computer:

  1. Go to www.oculus.com/setup to download the Oculus app
  2. Open the Oculus app and click Install Now
  3. Follow the on-screen instructions to create an Oculus account and set up your devices

While you're installing the Oculus app, you can choose where you want to download and install your apps and games. If you want to download the Oculus app on a different system drive, you can do this manually.

To install the Oculus app on a different system drive:

  1. Press the Windows key + R on your keyboard to open the Run command
  2. Enter OculusSetup /drive: [new system drive] (example: OculusSetup /drive:D)
  3. Note: If OculusSetup /drive: does not work, use OculusSetup /drive=
  4. Click OK

The Oculus app will open and install the app on the new drive you’ve chosen.
