Where can I find my settings in the Oculus mobile app?
You can find your settings in the Oculus mobile app by tapping your avatar/profile picture.

    Open the Oculus mobile app on your phone.
  2. 2.
    Tap your avatar/profile picture in the top left.
  3. 3.
    Tap Account Settings.

Change your Oculus username
When you make a VR profile on your Oculus device, you'll create a username that's publicly visible and shared on all your Oculus devices. You can change your username only once every 6 months.
Username requirements:
  • Usernames must start with a letter or number.
  • Usernames may be between 2 to 20 characters in length.
  • Usernames may include a mix of letters, number, dashes and underscores, but may not include dashes or underscores consecutively.
  • Usernames may not have spaces, slashes or periods.
To change your username:
  1. 1.
    Go to secure.oculus.com and log into your account
  2. 2.
    Click Profile on the left.
  3. 3.
    Click Edit next to Username.
  4. 4.
    Enter your new username and your Oculus PIN.
  5. 5.
    Click SAVE and then click CONFIRM.

Change your Oculus password
Depending on how you log in to Oculus you will need to change your Facebook password or change your Oculus password.

If you log into Oculus using your Facebook account
If you log into Oculus with your Facebook account, you can change your Facebook password.

If you log into Oculus using your Oculus account
If you haven't merged your Facebook and Oculus accounts, you can change your Oculus password using the Oculus app.
To change your password using the Oculus mobile app:
  1. 1.
    Open the Oculus app on your phone.
  2. 2.
    Tap your profile picture in the top left.
  3. 3.
    Tap Account Settings, then tap Change Oculus Password.
  4. 4.
    Enter your old password, your new password, and your new password again to confirm.
  5. 5.
    Tap Save to save your new password.
To change your password using the Oculus PC app:
  1. 1.
    Open the Oculus app on your PC.
  2. 2.
    Select Settings in the left menu.
  3. 3.
    Under Account, click Password.
  4. 4.
    Enter a new password and then enter your old password to confirm the change.
  5. 5.
    Click Submit.

Change your Oculus profile picture
To change your profile picture using the Oculus app on your phone:
  1. 1.
    Open the Oculus app on your phone.
  2. 2.
    Tap your profile picture in the top left.
  3. 3.
    Tap View Profile, then tap your profile picture again.
  4. 4.
    Tap one of the following to change your profile picture:
    • Tap a photo under Facebook Photos or Suggested Photos to set it as your profile picture.
    • Tap the photo album icon to choose a profile picture from your phone's camera roll.
  5. 5.
    Tap Save.
To change your profile picture using the Oculus app on your PC:
  1. 1.
    Open the Oculus app on your computer.
  2. 2.
    Click Friends in the bottom left menu.
  3. 3.
    Click your name in the right slide-out menu.
  4. 4.
    Click your current profile picture at the top of the app to change it.
  5. 5.
    Choose an Oculus picture or click Upload Picture at the bottom to add your own.
  6. 6.
    Click Confirm.
To change your profile picture using the Oculus app for Gear VR:
  1. 1.
    Open the Oculus app on your phone.
  2. 2.
    Tap your profile picture in the top left.
  3. 3.
    Tap your profile picture and then tap one of the following to change your profile picture:
    • Take Photo
    • Choose from Phone
    • Choose an Oculus Picture
Note: Your profile picture must have a resolution of 176x176 pixels.

Reset Oculus PIN
The PIN that you create for your account is used to verify your identity and to simplify purchasing in the Oculus store. Because the PIN is associated with your account, all of your Oculus devices share the same PIN.

If you forgot your PIN
If you forgot your PIN, you can request an email with a link to reset it from the Oculus website.
  1. 1.
    Go to your profile on Oculus.com.
  2. 2.
    Click Security in the left menu.
  3. 3.
    Next to PIN, click Edit.
  4. 4.
    Next to Save, click Forgot Pin.
  5. 5.
    Click Request PIN Reset.
  6. 6.
    Follow the instructions in the email to reset your PIN.
Note: It may take some time for the email to arrive. If you don't see it in your inbox after a few minutes, check your spam folders for an email from no-reply@mail.oculus.com. You can also request another email by repeating the steps above.

If you remember your PIN and want to change it
To change your Oculus PIN using the Oculus PC app:
  1. 1.
    Open the Oculus app on your computer.
  2. 2.
    Select Settings in the left menu.
  3. 3.
    Below Account, click Oculus PIN.
  4. 4.
    Enter a new PIN and then enter your password to confirm the change.
  5. 5.
    Click Submit.
To change your Oculus PIN using the Oculus mobile app:
  1. 1.
    Open the Oculus app on your phone.
  2. 2.
    Tap your profile picture in the top left.
  3. 3.
    Tap Account Settings.
  4. 4.
    Enter your current PIN, then enter your new PIN and tap Submit.
To change your Oculus PIN using the Oculus website:
  1. 1.
    Go to your profile on Oculus.com.
  2. 2.
    Click Security in the left menu, then click Edit next to PIN.
  3. 3.
    Enter your current PIN, then enter your new PIN and click Save.
To change your Oculus PIN using the Oculus app for Samsung Gear VR:
  1. 1.
    Open the Oculus app on your phone.
  2. 2.
    Tap More and then tap Reset Oculus PIN.
  3. 3.
    Enter your password, then enter your new PIN and tap Save.

Delete your Oculus account

If you log in to Oculus using a Facebook account
To delete your Oculus information:
  1. 1.
    From a computer, go to www.oculus.com.
  2. 2.
    Log into your account.
  3. 3.
    Click on your profile image in the upper right corner of your browser, then select Profile.
  4. 4.
    On the left side of your screen, click Privacy Center.
  5. 5.
    Scroll to the bottom of the page and click the button DELETE YOUR OCULUS DATA.

If you log in to Oculus with an Oculus account
To delete your Oculus information:
  1. 1.
    From a computer, go to www.oculus.com.
  2. 2.
    Log in to your account.
  3. 3.
    Click on your profile image in the top-right corner of your browser, then select My Profile.
  4. 4.
    On the left-hand side of your screen, click Privacy Center.
  5. 5.
    Scroll to the bottom of the page and click DELETE YOUR OCULUS ACCOUNT.

What happens after you delete your Oculus information?
When you delete your Oculus information, people won’t be able to see it on Oculus, although it may take up to 90 days to make sure that everything is deleted. During that period, you may still receive personalized ads on and off the Facebook Company Products and you won't be able to access your Oculus information.
Some of your Oculus information requires you to delete it separately. For example, your communications with Oculus Support can be deleted through your Zendesk account if you created one, or from the email account you used to communicate with Oculus Support. If you're an Oculus developer, you'll need to contact customer support to delete your organization. Oculus may still retain certain data to comply with local laws, such as sales receipts to comply with local tax laws.
Please keep in mind that once your data has been deleted you won't be able to reactivate it or retrieve anything you've added, including:
  • All of your Oculus apps and in-app purchases;
  • Your Oculus app achievements;
  • Your Oculus friends list;
  • Any history of interactions with other users on the Oculus platform;
  • Any content you created on the Oculus platform.
This does not include content that you’ve shared to your Facebook profile. You can learn more about how to delete your Facebook account in the Facebook Help Center. You also will no longer be able to return any apps and will lose any existing store credits.

Cancelling Oculus account deletion
If you decide that you no longer wish to delete your account, you can cancel your deletion request within 30 days.
To cancel your deletion if you log into Oculus with your Facebook account:

    Log into your Facebook account and click Cancel Deletion.
To cancel your deletion if you log into Oculus with your Oculus account:
  1. 1.

My Oculus account was suspended by mistake. Should I make another one?
No. Facebook is a community where everyone uses the name they go by in everyday life, so you always know who you're connecting with. It's against the Facebook Community Standards to maintain more than one personal account. If you run into difficulties logging into Oculus with your Facebook account, please follow the advice here or contact Oculus Support.

Notification of warning or suspension of your Oculus account
If you’ve received a notification that your Oculus account has received a warning or suspension, a report against your account was reviewed and deemed in violation of the Community Standards or Conduct in VR Policy.
Violating the Community Standards or Conduct in VR Policy may result in actions taken against your account, including but not limited to, suspension or termination of your account.
Please reach out to Oculus Support if you wish to appeal.

Remote factory reset an Oculus Quest 2 or Quest
Using your Oculus account, you can perform a remote wipe of your Oculus Quest 2 or Quest even if you don't have physical access to your device.
To remove your data from an Oculus headset remotely:
  1. 1.
    On a computer or mobile phone, navigate to https://secure.oculus.com/my/devices/
  2. 2.
    Choose your headset from the list of devices.
  3. 3.
    Click DELETE DEVICE DATA.
    • If you don't see this option, your device's software version may not support remote wipe.
  4. 4.
    Complete the verification flow to confirm your identity.
  5. 5.
    Once the factory reset is complete, your device will disappear from the list. It will then be factory reset the next time that it comes online.
