What are the supported player modes for Oculus Store content?
When you browse the Oculus Store, you can see the supported player modes for apps and experiences.
Supported Player Modes
Player modes let you know what types of player movement the content supports. Some content may support multiple player modes. Oculus Store content supports the following player modes:
  • Sitting: Sitting apps can be played white sitting and we recommend a play space with 3 feet (1 meter) of free room in all directions around where you're sitting. We also recommend using a rotating desk chair.
  • Standing: Standing apps can be played while standing and may require a small around of movement. We recommend a play space with 3 feet (1 meter) of free room in all directions around where you're standing.
  • Roomscale: Roomscale apps and games require you to move anywhere in your play space. A minimum play space of 7 feet by 7 feet (2 meters by 2 meters) is needed, but some apps might require a larger player space.

Will I have to re-purchase titles on Oculus Quest 2 or Quest if I own them on Oculus Rift S?
For titles that are available for Oculus Quest 2, Quest, and Oculus Rift S, we support the ability to buy once and be entitled to the content on both devices.
With that being said, Oculus believes that it's important to empower the developer to make this decision, so while encouraged, developers are not required to implement cross-buying. The decision to allow for cross-buying is ultimately up to each developer and whatever is best for their business and community.
It's also important to note that Quest 2/Quest and Rift S run on different operating systems, so progress in a game on one device won’t necessarily carry over to the other.
If you believe you should have received a cross-buy app from Rift to Quest 2 or Quest, please allow some time for updates to your account.
If you encounter issues with your purchases, contact Oculus Support directly.

App Subscriptions

Learn about Oculus app subscriptions
App subscriptions allow you to pay a set amount on a recurring basis to get refreshed, exclusive and bundled content automatically delivered to your device from your favorite app developers.
How It Works
Developers can choose to enable app subscriptions on certain titles. You can purchase app subscriptions from the Oculus store app on your mobile device, or directly from your Quest headset.
Subscription Types
  • Free app with a paid subscription: The base app is free and a subscription is mandatory to access all content.
  • Freemium: The base app is free and a subscription is optional to access premium content.
  • Paid App: The base app is paid and a subscription is optional to access premium content.
Some apps offer a free trial (7 days, 14 days, 30 days). After the trial ends, you will be auto-enrolled in the subscription. You can cancel a subscription any time in your payment settings.
Please note, currently, subscriptions do not work with multiple accounts. If you have multiple accounts on your headset, only the account where the subscription was purchased can access the subscription content.
