What is Quest PTC?

Quest Public Test Channel (PTC) is an early access program for Oculus Quest version software. By signing up, you can get early access to the unreleased software version ahead of the public release.

How do I sign up for Quest PTC?

You can sign up for Quest PTC in the Oculus mobile app. When you sign up, your headset will become eligible for the latest unreleased Oculus software version.
To sign up for eligibility for Quest PTC:
  1. 1.
    From the Oculus mobile app, tap Device.
  2. 2.
    Tap Advanced Settings.
  3. 3.
    Tap the toggle next to Public Test Channel to try to join Quest PTC.
    • If the toggle doesn’t work, Quest PTC is currently full and not available.
Keep in mind, Quest PTC is offered on a first-come, first-served basis. We currently do not have a waitlist, so please check back at a later time if you’re unable to sign up.

How do I remove myself from Quest PTC?

You can remove yourself from Quest PTC from the Oculus mobile app.
To remove yourself from Quest PTC:
  1. 1.
    From the Oculus mobile app, tap Device.
  2. 2.
    Tap Advanced Settings.
  3. 3.
    Tap the toggle next to Public Test Channel.
Note: When you remove yourself from Quest PTC, your device will remain on the Quest PTC software version until the next Oculus public software version release.

Can I roll back my Oculus device to a previous software version?

Currently, Oculus Quest software does not have the ability to roll back to a previous software version release. If you remove yourself from Quest PTC, your device will remain on the Quest PTC software version until the next Oculus public software version release.
